Read a sample in Japanese山のなかに、猿や鹿や狼や狐などがいっしょにすんでおりました。みんなはひとつのあんどんをもっていました。紙ではった四角な小さいあんどんでありました。夜がくると、みんなはこのあんどんに灯をともしたのでありました。あるひの夕方、みんなはあんどんの油がもうなくなっていることに気がつきました。そこでだれかが、村の油屋まで油を買いにゆかねばなりません。さてだれがいったものでしょう。みんなは村にゆくことがすきではありませんでした。村にはみんなのきらいな猟師と犬がいたからであります。「それではわたしがいきましょう」とそのときいったものがありました。狐です。狐は人間の子どもにばけることができたからでありました。そこで、狐のつかいときまりました。やれやれとんだことになりました。さて狐は、うまく人間の子どもにばけて、しりきれぞうりを、ひたひたとひきずりながら、村へゆきました。
