Read a sample in Japaneseうちの松篁は、私の顔を三味線だと言う。これは私の額口が、さよう独立的と言いますか後家星と言いますか、生え際が角ばっている。普通の女の人は生え際がせまくて山形になっている。ところが私はその反対に角がたっている。これは私ばかりではなく、うちのおばあさんも平たくなっている。つまり四角い。で「顔の輪廓が四角いあの三味線の胴みたいな」と、そんな悪口を言う。顔の道具立は、さて何と言いますか、さしずめ鼻は団子鼻というのではない。おばあさんや、姉やらに比較すると私のが一番ましでしょう、と言ってぺたんこになったというほど低くもなし、さりとてえらく高いというのでもない。それから目、これは小さい事もないらしいし、ひどく大きいということもない。口は小さいほうではない。大きい方かもしれない。一番特徴のあるのは髪の毛で、そのたけの長い事にかけては、髪結いさんに結わせるときっとびっくりする。
