Read a sample in Japanese「いくら日曜の朝だからって、もうお起こししなければいけませんわ。もう十時じゃありませんか。美津子さん、お前お二階に行ってお父さんをお起こししていらっしゃい。」お母さんにこう言われると、美津子はすぐに立ち上がりました。他の用だとこうすぐには承知しないのですが、お父さんをお起こしするということが、大好きなのです。別に理由もないんですが、何だか自分がこうちょっと偉くなったような気がするからなのでしょう。春風そよ吹く空を見れば――美津子は、そんな唱歌を歌いながら、トントンと威勢よく梯子段を上がって行きました。そうして、唐紙を開けると同時に、「お父さん！」と、大きな声で呼びました。お父さんはと見ると、すっぽり頭から布団をかぶって、まるで亀の子のような形をしてグーグー眠っています。「お父さん！」と、更にもう一度美津子は叫びました。やっぱり返事がありません。
