Read a sample in Japanese＊フランス中部のある都市のとあるお家の鳥籠に、たった一と言口真似の出来る鸚鵡が飼われてた。出来るというのは他でもない、誰かが籠に近寄ると、すましかえって大風に、叱って言うのは次のこと――｟誰だ、そこにいるのは？誰だ…？｠＊ところで或る日籠の扉をうっかり女中が開けたとき得たりと鸚鵡は逃げ出して早速庭の木にとまる。呼んでも籠へは帰らない、傍まで行くと例の声｟誰だ、そこにいるのは？誰だ？…｠＊それから森へ飛んでゆき、桜実なぞ啄ついた。森は胡桃が花盛り、莓は藪に熟れている。天気はよいし、人はいず、鸚鵡は愉快でたまらない。＊さてここに一人の百姓さん、鉄砲かりて猟に出て、森を朝からさまよって見つけたものはこの鸚鵡。『ホウ！』と思わず喜んで、銃とりあげて忍び足、獲物目がけて近よって、銃のねらいをつけかける。すると鸚鵡は気がついて例の言葉を言い出した｟誰だ、そこにいるのは？誰だ？…｠＊
