Read a sample in Japanese私の顔は、このごろまた、一回り大きくなったようである。もとから、小さい顔ではなかったが、このごろまた、一回り大きくなった。美男子というものは、顔が小さくきちんとまとまっているものである。顔の非常に大きい美男子というのは、あまり実例がないように思われる。想像することも、むずかしい。顔の大きい人は、すべてを素直にあきらめて、「立派」あるいは「荘厳」あるいは「盛観」ということを心掛けるよりほかに、仕様がないようである。浜口雄幸氏は、非常に顔の大きい人であった。やはり美男子ではなかった。けれども、盛観であった。荘厳でさえあった。容貌については、ひそかに修養したこともあったのだろうと思われる。私も、こうなれば、浜口氏になるように修養するよりほかないと思っている。顔が大きくなると、よっぽど気をつけなければ、人に傲慢だと誤解される。
