Read a sample in Japanese子どものすきな小さい神さまがありました。いつもは森の中で、歌をうたったり笛をふいたりして、小鳥やけものと遊んでいましたが、ときどき人のすんでいる村へ出てきて、すきな子どもたちと遊ぶのでした。けれどこの神さまは、いちどもすがたをみせたことがないので、子どもたちにはちっともわかりませんでした。雪がどっさりふったつぎの朝、子どもたちはまっしろな野っぱらで遊んでいました。するとひとりの子どもが、「雪の上に顔をうつそうよ。」といいました。そこで十三人の子どもたちは、腰をかがめてまるい顔をまっしろな雪におしあてました。そうすると、子どもたちのまるい顔は、一列にならんで雪の上にうつったのでした。「一、二、三、四、……」とひとりの子どもが顔のあとをかぞえてみました。どうしたことでしょう。十四ありました。子どもは十三人しかいないのに、顔のあとが十四あるわけがありません。
