Print the whole book, or just the pages for the patterns you are stuck on. The checklist runs in the order the JLPT groups the points, with a tick box on every row, and the 5 study cards behind it are the same ones each grammar point's page offers on its own.

解説Background
About the JLPT N1 Grammar book
The JLPT N1 Grammar book is in two parts. Part one is the complete JLPT N1 checklist: every one of the 72 grammar points the JLPT groups at this level, each with its romaji and its English meaning, in the order the exam groups them. Part two is 5 full study cards, one page per pattern. Each page runs top to bottom: the pattern with its romaji, what it means, how it is built, example sentences with furigana, and last the nuances that catch learners out.
The patterns here are not a textbook's list. Yomimaru is a reading app built on public-domain Japanese: Aozora Bunko stories, folk tales, graded readers. The points that have a full study card are the ones that keep turning up in those texts. That is why a few famous textbook patterns are only a checklist row, and a few unglamorous ones get a whole page.
Everything in the book is free to print and free to share, including with a class. You can also take the study cards one at a time from each grammar point's page, where we ask for no email at all. The book exists because one PDF is easier to keep than 5 separate ones.

JLPT N1 Grammar: questions & answers
Is the JLPT N1 Grammar PDF really free?
Yes, the whole 13 pages. We never ask for payment details, and nothing here turns into a subscription later. We do ask for an email address, so that we can send you the file and tell you when new grammar cards go up, and you can unsubscribe in one click. The download link also appears on this page the moment you submit the form, so you never have to wait for the mail.
What is inside the JLPT N1 Grammar book?
All 72 JLPT N1 grammar points as a printable checklist with romaji and English meanings, plus 5 full study cards at one page each. A card gives the pattern's meaning, its construction rules, example sentences with furigana, and the nuances learners get wrong. 13 A4 pages in total.
Do I need a Yomimaru account to download it?
No. An email address is all we ask, and the book is yours to keep without ever creating an account. If you do have one, the "Sign in and get it" button skips the form: we send the book to the address on your account and put the download on screen. A free account does that; you do not need to be on a paid plan.
Can I print it, or share it with my class?
Yes to both. It is laid out as A4 portrait with one study card per page, so you can print the whole book or just the pages you are working on. Teachers are welcome to hand it out.
What is the difference between the book and the individual grammar cards?
The content is the same. Each grammar point's page on Yomimaru gives you its study card as a single PDF and asks for no email at all. This book bundles them into one file with a checklist of every JLPT N1 pattern in front, which is what most people want when they are studying a whole level rather than one point.
